Travel + Life Tip #4: Surround yourself with people who appreciate the moments as much as you do.

Traveling is a beautiful gift of life, and wrapped inside are adventures, experiences and opportunities that are one of a kind. These moments will be as special to you as you want them to be, but the people you’re sharing them with have some influence as well. You want to surround yourself with people who not only value the experience you are sharing with them, but who also appreciate it enough to celebrate it with you. It’s okay to have different opinions or attitudes as it relates to how you want to spend your time. If you can’t agree on what you want to do, confidently do you own thing and meet back up afterwards. You won’t be able to do everything with everybody and that’s okay! At the end of the day what’s most important is how you feel about the hours you’ve spent and the memories you’ve made. What’s not okay is compromising your excitement for someone else’s lethargy. What’s not cool is forgetting why you went someplace because someone in your party couldn’t stop complaining. Surround yourself with the people who will motivate YOU to stay positive when things aren’t happening the way you wanted them to. Your feet might hurt, but you have to make it through the sand to put your toes in the water. Your arm might be tired but you have to move it down just a little so that you can touch the tip of the Louvre. #sarahnsays
